That fellow on the
street I see,
Following the day’s
curriculum on one knee
Hustle & Bustle
on to the busy street,
Pushing
him away to flee.
Dragging
himself from one leg to thee,
“Shine
your shoes & shine your day” he ought to plea.
Triumph
once countered by failure four times,
Yet
no wave to surrender for his efforts so determined.
Sliding
down the lane,
So
vulnerable is he to embrace the pain.
For
that gentle smile on his face,
Drives my attention to see the grace.
Though all his
efforts in vain,
With no hesitation he embarks again.
With an inevitable
smile on his face
And the sparkle in his eyes,
And the sparkle in his eyes,
“Shine
your shoes & shine your day” he cries.
